Events And Programs

    • Under the theme “Muslims and their Co-operation with other Faiths” was held on 18th June 2007 at Ramada Hotel, many foreign & local dignitaries from different Asian countries participated at this conference.
    • Under the theme “Role of Man & Women in building peace” with the participation of foreign dignitaries and local religious leaders from Sri Lanka and other Asian countries was held at Hotel Galadari on 4-5th May 2011. On 13th November 2011.
    • Under the theme “Building World Peace” with the participation of foreign Muslim scholars, local religious leaders & Ullamas was conducted at Hotel Galadari on 4th May 2011.
    • Under the theme “World Muslim Congress Conference” was held on 13th/14th Nov 2011 at Hotel Ramada with many foreign delegates/scholars and local religious leaders & Parliamentarians participated.
    • Under the theme a “Forum for National Amity & Understanding” was held during year 2011 at the Sri Lanka Islamic Centre with the participation of World Muslim League, Saudi Arabia and local religious leaders.
    • Facilitation ceremony to honor Prof Kumburugamuwa Vajira Thero by his Excellency the President of Sri Lanka & Chairman of Sri Lanka Islamic Centre was held on 3rd May 2013 at the Temple Trees.
    • On 5th August 2014, All religious leaders conference was held at BMICH under the theme “Let’s get together among religious leaders” with the participation of many scholars around Asian countries and local religious leaders participated at this conference.
    • On August 12, 2016 International conference on “MUSLIMS AND THE PROSPECTS FOR COEXISTENCE” was held at Temple Trees Banquet Hall under the patronage of Hon Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Head of World Muslim League, Religious leaders of Asian countries and local Religious leaders of all nationalities participated at this conference.

    On April 27th & 28th International conference on “Islamic Reality & Contemporary Challenges” was held at Temple Trees Banquet Hall under the patronage of His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena and 28th April sessions were held at Movempick Hotel Colombo 3 with the participation of religious leaders locally and internationally
